  • description: I Tried Making Homemade Choco Boy | Claire Recreates Claire Saffitz is back with another Claire Recreates, and this time she’s taking on Choco Boy, the beloved Korean snack made with crunchy mushroom-shaped biscuits and chocolate caps. The goal sounds simple: recreate Choco Boy from scratch. But getting that tiny biscuit stem, signature mushroom shape, crisp texture, and chocolate top just right is another story. Claire breaks down the original Choco Boy, experiments with her own homemade version, and tries to get as close as possible to the snack that so many people grew up eating. Can she recreate Choco Boy at home? Watch to find out. #ClaireSaffitz #ClaireRecreates #ChocoBoy #KoreanSnacks Biscuit: 1¼ cups/160 grams all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon cornstarch 2 tablespoons granulated sugar ½ teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon kosher salt ¼ cup/55 grams cold unsalted butter (½ stick), cut into pieces 2 tablespoons whole milk 1 tablespoon beaten egg white ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract 350g Milk Chocolate Chapters 00:00 Intro 01:12 Reading the ingredients 02:17 Measurements 02:51 Game plan 03:03 Make molds 05:45 Biscuit dough and baking 10:12 More molds 15:40 Chocolate tempering + assembly 20:22 Comparison What's for Dessert by Claire Saffitz is out now: https://geni.us/WjcIbfp Dessert Person Online: https://www.dessertperson.com/ Claire on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/csaffitz/?h...
